I like restaurants…. I like all kinds of restaurants. The same can be said about my taste in food. when I was a preteen, my grandmother used to make me come in the kitchen with her while she cooked to make sure I didn’t”t cause any mischief. At some point I started picking up a spoon and stirring her Sunday sauce for her while she chatted on the phone. This was the point in time that my love for food officially started. Other than my occasional trip to New England the food I was around for the most part was what most of us are familiar with. Beans and corn bread, greens, fried everything, except on those Sunday’s when I stayed with my grandmother. She really did magical things with food. She was the typical Italian grandmother. Always made lots of delicious food that took 2 days to make. But my point is that I grew to love many different things from the loneliest of tomato sandwiches to magnificent French and Italian dinners that last 2 hours. I can appreciate a great burger but my eyes always get big when I see a duck confit ravioli on the menu. Once I hit my late teens I decided I wanted to widen my knowledge of food and started trying every restaurant I could. I have had some wonderful dinners in my time coming from everywhere. I have had the best burrito of my life from a roadside trailer and an outstanding 22 course meal from the infamous Charlie Trotter. I tell you all these things not to brag but just so you know that I will not be an elitist when It comes to my reviews. If its wonderful I will let you know and if its bad you can bet I will let you know why. I went for my first couple restaurants this week for some lunches so a couple of reviews are soon to follow. Thanks and let me know what you think!

My taste and Prefrences(to make some things make since)
January 20, 2008Food Of Eureka Springs Arkansas
January 10, 2008I really wanted to start this blog to service the people I live around. I currently live in the wonderful town of Eureka Springs Arkansas. This blog is going to be pretty straight forward. I am going to visit restaurants and attractions (mainly restaurants) in our little resort town and give an honest educated opinion on the experience. I will occasionally do a review of a restaurant in one of the surrounding cities as well. I am NOT a classically trained chef although I have lots of experience behind a knife. I don’t have a food science degree , although the years of studying chemistry does help. I do have a love for ingredients, tools and techniques that when used together properly make for one of the most memorable experiences to have.I plan on posting at least once a week about a restaurant I visited and I encourage everyone to leave comments and suggestions about places, favorite dishes and my reviews. Thanks and I hope to hear from many of you very soon!!
